Our Story

The story starts with our owners, Harry and James. The guys visited Boreland while on a stag do many years ago. They camped out, built fire pits, swam in the loch… and instantly fell in love with the place.

It became the ‘go to’ destination for get-togethers with family and friends.

Skip forward to 2015 when the farm went on sale. Along with their wives, Harry and James jumped at the chance to own somewhere that had become so special. And thus, Boreland Loch Tay was born.

Progress since 2015

A labour of love, everyone has rolled up their sleeves to improve and develop Boreland into what it is today. It has been real! Located across our land, we now have:

8 self-catering properties
4 venue spaces including a rustic barn, cowshed, and workshop
3 original farm buildings converted into one-of-a-kind places to stay
a stretch of private Loch Tay shoreline with direct access to the water
a natural wildlife habitat

With grand plans, a rewilding project in full flow, and an idea to put sustainability at the heart of everything we do, we can’t wait for the journey to continue.

And with Harry and James still very much hands-on owners, don’t be surprised to bump into them while you’re with us!

What we’re known for

Harry and James built Boreland for one thing – to do cool stuff in an awesome place with their mates and loved ones. It’s that simple. And we stick to that mantra to this day.

We grew a reputation for providing the ultimate stag weekend in Scotland; now we’re opening it up to everyone.
